Who doesn't love supporting local business, especially when it's the town's newest music venue and run by a bad ass babe?
Our team is super excited to share the news about this upcoming event & promote Blue Jay Listening Room "2 Years of Tunes".
On Sunday, August 18 from 11am-4pm Elizabeth Sarah Collections will be setting up pop up style at Blue Jay Listening Room in Jax Beach in honor of the music venue's 2 year anniversary. In classic Walker fashion, Philip will also be there slinging his amazing art (you just can't have one without the other!)
Along with other local vendors and talent, we're ready to celebrate Blue Jay's birthday and continue the tradition of supporting locally owned businesses.
Shout out to Cara & her amazing staff for killing the live music scene, curating an amazing space to be present and truly enjoy music, and for setting up an event that's going to be one for the books!
We at Elizabeth Sarah Collections are SO stoked for yet another event at Blue Jay Listening Room. We've had more than our share of fun & success at our past events, Meet the Walkers Parts 1 & 2 (not to mention Part 3 happening this winter -stay tuned!)
Our team met Cara several years ago at Sidney Cardel's, a store which her mom, Cathy, owns and operates. From there we all became great friends and when Cara opened Blue Jay we were more than honored when she hosted the first Meet the Walkers event.
Her belief and appreciation (and good taste) in our passion of creating handmade jewelry and art, as well as graciousness to host an event to share our craft, is cherished beyond measure.
For those who aren't familiar, Blue Jay Listening Room is more than a concert venue. It's a place where you don't get crushed by a crowd, leave with aching feet, or accumulate debt for paying for several $25 beers.
Blue Jay is an intimate space where it is truly all about the music. Having been before, I can honestly say I've never had a better concert experience. People are encouraged to silence their phones during sets, and stay seated during shows out of respect for others. It's a music venue where you can go to really feel connected with the artists, as well as others in the audience, because, well, you are all there for the same reason.
Cara and her team have done more than an incredible job making Blue Jay what it is, and that is simply, a place where every ticket is a backstage pass.
Let us if you can make it, or drop a comment with any questions about the event!
We look forward to seeing everyone and gettin' down for Blue Jay's big 2!
