For those of you who are new to the Elizabeth Sarah Collections brand, we want to take the time to introduce ourselves and share a little insight into our lives both in and out of the ESC studio.
Elizabeth Walker (also known as Beth or Boo), is the founder of Elizabeth Sarah Collections and has been in the jewelry design industry for the past 15 years. She's also the best fur-momma to Puggy Sue & Shelby Cat and is a lover of all things mother nature has to offer. She's got a fire in her heart like no other, and can come up with any excuse to have a good time.
Staying ahead of the trend and setting goals for the future is a huge part of the industry we are in, and Elizabeth is passionate about her craft and is always creating new, exciting designs.
Whether it's planning art shows across the country or setting up locally, she is always on the hunt for new opportunities. Even on the Walker's latest cross-country trek to Colorado, they turned the drive into a scavenger hunt for gems that are local to other parts of the country to introduce in a future collections.
Recently Elizabeth partook in a collaborative effort with an amazing artist, Jordan Kozie who happens to be her cousin. She and Jordan have been working on a ring design for months and to see it come to fruition was very cool for not only her but her family. The ring that was created was first of many using precious materials such as Diamonds, Emeralds, & Sapphires, in her signature Shark Tooth design. Always pushing her limits, she wants to constantly surprise her past, present, and future clients.
Elizabeth got her start making jewelry in 2001, working as an apprentice for her neighbor while attending college in Aspen, Colorado.
Her love for jewelry, however, started long before that. As a little girl Elizabeth would go through her grandmother's jewelry box every time she visited her (which was daily), and played dress up every chance she got. Marveling at all that glimmered and admiring each unique gemstone, her passion for design and fine jewelry started here.
After moving from Colorado to Florida in 2006, Elizabeth Sarah Collections was founded. At the time, Elizabeth also worked in the dental industry. After ten years of slowly decreasing her hours, she was finally able to become a full-time jewelry designer in 2016. It was the greatest day of her life to date, knowing she can confidently pursue her passion without anything in her way.
Elizabeth's husband, Philip, is also an independent artist. While he has his own business painting and showing in galleries all over the country, he's a huge part of ESC. He's not just the muscles behind all of our art shows, he's an ultra hype-man for our team and always brings the good vibes (and tunes!).
Elizabeth & Philip have always shared art as a common interest from the very beginning of their relationship. As they grew together over the past 18 years, they have always supported each others passion and determination. They never let anything or anyone stop them from doing what they do best.
I, Ally Giudice, have been working for Elizabeth since 2016 as her Assistant Designer and Online Store Manager, and contributing blogger for Elizabeth Sarah Collections.
I've always had a passion for jewelry, admiring high end fashion magazines and scoping out what the newest trends are. Growing up in South Florida just outside of Fort Lauderdale and Miami, I loved being near the international fashion scene and the glamour that followed with it.
I attended the University of North Florida and majored in Psychology, which is another one of my passions, and one day I hope to return for my Master's degree. I still even have some of my textbooks (nerd alert to follow..) that I occasionally flip through, and love to read psychology journals and clinical studies.
When I reached out to Elizabeth in 2016 about working for her, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. We instantly hit it off and in no time became like family. Since starting with Elizabeth Sarah Collections, I've learned about the trade of wire wrapping, gemology, and the behind the scenes of running a jewelry business. I couldn't be more thankful for the opportunity and continuous growth and knowledge I've gained along the way.
Three years later, our team is as thick as thieves and conquering the world one necklace at a time.
