Running a small business means that the finer details are just as important as the actual product we create and sell. While large companies can outsource and pay other smaller companies for things like packaging or manufacturing, its important that we don't skimp on anything.
From our handmade jewelry to the packaging it comes in, and everything in between, we are proud to say that there's a little part of our team in everything we put out.
Even if you're new to Elizabeth Sarah Collections and are viewing our site for the first time, we strive to make it clear to all of our customers that our jewelry is designed and handmade with care, locally here in North Florida.
Our products are made and displayed to show off our attention to detail, wire wrapping skills, and quality of gemstones used.
Each piece is designed by the artist, Elizabeth, and made by our two woman team in her studio, which is also set up as a shop for local clients.
Every single piece of jewelry made by our team passes through Elizabeth's hands, as it's visually inspected and felt for imperfections before heading on its way to its new home.
Although the studio isn't a stand alone storefront, we offer shopping by appointment seven days a week and love having customers, new and old, coming by to shop and say hello.
Most stores in malls and shopping centers can feel so sterile and artificial, but once you step in the Elizabeth Sarah Collections studio you immediately feel the love and happiness we do every day.
The jewelry display itself (accompanied by family photos and memorabilia) consists of driftwood branches found by Elizabeth and her husband, Philip, on our local beaches after storms wash them ashore.
Hurricane Irma and Matthew wrecked havoc on our beaches, destroying the natural dunes as well as many establishments. However our teamed turned this into a positive situation by helping clean the beaches nearby and collecting the washed up driftwood from the storms.
After bringing them home to dry and cleaned of sand and residue, Elizabeth and Philip then hand drilled hooks into them and tastefully mounted them on the studio walls.
The branches not only serve as our display but create a feeling of being one with nature and add Elizabeth's personal style to the shop.
Elizabeths initial display set up has certainly evolved over the past decade, and upon her first solo pop-up opportunity, she realized the importance of having a unique yet sustainable display.
Having a display that not only stands apart in terms of appearance and detail, but also making sure that it can withstand travel and be secure enough to hold all of her creations is a must for Elizabeth.
Our unique display also serves as a conversation starter, a feature that makes our jewelry stand out.
For the times when we're on the road for a pop-up show, our team has designed several mobile displays that are versatile and cohesive with the layout of the shop or gallery we're setting up at. Each display is representative of the Elizabeth Sarah Collections brand, and brings the coastal vibes of our Atlantic Beach studio to anywhere in the world.
And, talk about attention to detail, we even have different lights that accompany these different displays, all in order to show off and exhibit our craft.
Aside from the jewelry line and hand picked jewelry display, we also hand stamp our own boxes and bags. Elizabeth has even designed the insert with a specific care and handling guide, and our team makes sure each ribbon bow is just perfect before going into the hands of the customer.
Our fingers may be cramped at the end of the day and wrists sore from stamping hundreds of items (as a kid I NEVER thought playing with stamps would be this hard) but it's worth it when we get to see a clients face or get that excited emoji face text message when they open their Elizabeth Sarah Collections package.
We also take pride in our attention to online orders. Each box is wrapped the same way as an in-person sale, and we make sure the bubble wrap keeps your necklace from sliding around in the shipping process.
Extra (and I mean EXTRA) tape is applied and at least two "fragile" stickers are stuck on your box just so we know we did our best to ensure that your package gets treated as well as we would handle it while going across the state, country, or world.
Are you more detail oriented, or go with the flow? We'd love to hear from you!
