It’s no doubt that this is a very scary time right now, and day by day our worlds are changing as new information is being released about COVID-19.
One thing that hasn’t changed throughout these past few weeks, is our compassion and empathy physically, mentally, & financially for those who are suffering and affected by this new strange virus. The Elizabeth Sarah Collections team wants to thank all medical personnel, first responders, teachers, elected officials and community leaders for keeping our well being the utmost priority.
If you know our team, you know we hate being kept away from family, friends, travel, socializing, the list can go on and on. Being quarantined just isn’t our thing but this virus hits home for us, as we know several immunocompromised people near to our hearts.
Elizabeth’s 5 year old niece, Addy, has 4H Leukodystrophy which is a rare genetic disorder that normally keeps her away from many activities most kids can enjoy regularly. Leukodystrophy is a disorder that affects the central nervous system, and treatment is only supportive as there is no known cure for this progressive disease. Addy is severely immune compromised and if she contracted this Virus it would be devastating. Now, as advised, Addy, her parents Jenny and Brent, and brother Jax are in complete quarantine in their home in Colorado. It’s heartbreaking to see these kids not enjoying their spring break and missing their school mates. It’s also stressful not knowing if there is in fact a “light at the end of the tunnel”. When will we be able to go back to normal life?
Missing work or being limited to cut hours and wages is also a problem for many friends and family members. With the government recommendations of “non-essential” workers to stay home, whose to say who’s work is considered non-essential? It’s a fact of life that everyone’s job is essential to THEIR own lives, and being forced to shut down, stay home, and not get paid is unthinkable.
While our community isn’t on quarantine yet, many businesses are slowing down and being advised to close down or limit their customer base.
So instead of looking forward to the spring break sales traffic brought in from tourists and locals alike, many companies have to make the tough decision to turn away customers based on these new regulations.
Since we’re one of those companies, we’ve got to adhere to what elected officials are saying and stay in the positive.
As a small business, Elizabeth Sarah Collections relies on our loyal customer base and reaching new clients through direct and personal interaction. Most of our sales are in person, which means in these times we are constantly sanitizing our studio and taking appointments one customer at a time.
All of our scheduled pop up events are also canceled until further notice, as to keep distant from large groups for everyone's safety.
However, the online shop is continuously up and running, as it's completely stocked with all current inventory and updated daily, and our team is available 24/7 for online support and customer service.
Starting now we are also offering 20% off all ONLINE ONLY purchases of $150 or more* with CODE: staysafe at checkout with FREE Priority Shipping year round & $18.00 International. If you are local to Jacksonville we are also offering free delivery.
*no customizations or adjustments and all sales are final
