First off, I'd like to announce how proud I am of my husband, Philip, for displaying his work this December at Art Basel in Miami. He and his partner, Mo, were invited by F.A.M.E Gallery Miami to display their collaborative art in Wynwood.
For those of you who have never heard of Art Basel, this is a HUGE deal! People from all over the world flock to Miami all year round as it is, but a city-wide event like this draws even more attention and chances for exposure.
Now you may be wondering what this has to do with Elizabeth Sarah Collections (besides jumping on the bandwagon for some R&R in Miami).
Well, many of our marketing tactics have to do with networking. Every time we go on a trip somewhere new, we end up meeting folks in the same industry as us. Whether it’s just a coincidence or not, branching out and being in the social scene has always benefited us.
Earlier this summer at an event in California, I met photographer Jeremy Haley through a mutual friend, and now Jeremy is a close friend who photographs my jewelry on his beautiful models. In August at our show at III Forks Chicago, I met some amazing new clients who I still keep in touch with and that I hope to see again when my team and I return next August.
Even when my team crossed “the ditch” to do a pop up in Avondale, we met some of the raddest babes in the hair styling gig and now are planning future events at their salon!
These are just a few examples of how networking and taking advantage of opportunities have helped my business grow.
Whether we're taking photos of our jewelry or even just wearing it, someone usually asks what we're doing, where we’re from, and so on.
However, this always sparks conversation and usually leads to a connection with a new friend, client and/or business partner.
By using guerrilla marketing techniques, we will be able to expand our market and outreach. By taking photos, using geotags and creating brand new content, we're basically letting Miami know that we're here and ready to take on the city one necklace at a time.
