Fasten your seatbelts folks...Elizabeth Sarah Collections has officially expanded yet again!
You thought we just gave you all a gallery, and don't worry it's not going anywhere...but now you get to see where the magic behind it all happens! Thats right, our production studio is officially moving & being integrated with our gallery location.
For the fourth time in less than a decade, owner & designer Elizabeth Walker of Elizabeth Sarah Collections has expanded her business not only in terms of success but also physical location.
For years she created and sold her handcrafted jewelry out of converted spare rooms in her home. It didn't take long for her and her expanding team to outgrow this space, as Elizabeth Sarah Collections grew exponentially year after year. Her artist husband, Philip, had been simultaneously creating his own paintings in a studio in their backyard. Both of them draw inspiration from their surroundings and consider their home (especially their tropical oasis backyard) their creative vortex.
When the spare bedroom/jewelry production studio and gallery became too small for our team and clients to interact and shop comfortably, the Walkers expanded Philips painting studio to be a dual production space in 2020.
With the team all working in this area, production and inventory could be streamlined between Elizabeth's one of a kind creations as well as each one of Philips Original paintings and Giclee prints. Keeping the gallery in their home strictly for shopping by appointment, this allowed the team to have more space while in turn producing more inventory than ever.
But as we know, all good things must either come to an end, or get even better. And that's where the gallery comes in, better late than never!
In September of 2021, after years of having daily clients and appointments in their home studios, plus shuffling inventory and displays to weekly pop ups, Elizabeth and Philip pulled the trigger and moved their art and jewelry lines into a brick and mortar shop in Jacksonville Beach, not far from their Atlantic Beach bungalow. Keep in mind that this was still during the uncertain times of the Coronavirus Pandemic, and many places of businesses were closing for good, yet the Walkers found a way to persevere and grow their businesses. Ya, they're badass.
The Elizabeth Sarah Collections Gallery, at 1003 Third Street North, has been a dream come true for the Walkers. Their first conversation upon meeting during their early twenties in Aspen, Colorado, was about becoming successful artists. From when they started dating, to getting married and joining creative forces, and all the moments in between, they've pushed each other to grow their brands and live out their dreams. You could say the've done a pretty great job so far.
The new Elizabeth Sarah Collections production studio is just a door down from our gallery where you can shop all of the handmade one of a kind and small batch jewelry, as well as a curated collection of Philip's artwork. Their home production studio isn't going anywhere though, but will still serve as Elizabeth's source of inspiration when dreaming up new designs - and honestly who would want to leave a pool, hot tub, and lush garden views everyday for work if you don't have to?
But Elizabeth and Philip are moving into and creating this space in true Walker fashion - DIY - with the help of some amazing friends & sourcing inspiration for the artistic space from their own interests & personal style.
Renovations were first on the list prior to moving in. Brand new floors, gallery-style lighting and a touch up paint job was first on the checklist.
Next up came the fun part, which is where Elizabeth designs a concept with furniture, materials and decor to reflect her personal style as well as play off the rest of the gallery. Then all the team had to do was move the hard goods & office supplies, and we're in business, baby!
Elizabeth and her team cannot wait to share this new creative vision and space! Do you have a creative zone you prefer to work in? Tell us your inspiration in the comments!
