Elizabeth Sarah Collections is rolling out some new features in the latest version of our website! With the help of our amazing marketing team, these updates are designed to make it easier for you navigate and shop online comfortably.
Lets face it, most of us are already addicted to online shopping due to the convenience and satisfaction it brings by not having to leave our homes or change out of our comfy clothes.
Online shopping has also taken on a new meaning for people this year because of the pandemic. Shoppers feel safer in their homes knowing they aren't putting themselves or others at risk just to run a few errands.
I personally online shop for a majority of my clothes, skincare items, etc, and through my own detective work and comparisons between different brands, I've noticed the detail that goes into showcasing products online.
Most people like myself want to seamlessly shop online and typically do so while while working from home, aka multitasking. Its so crucial for businesses to have an easy to navigate website that doesn't leave the customer guessing on the quality/size/shape of the item(s) they are purchasing.
From major brands to local shops that offer online deals, there's a ton of variation to how much information is offered for an online product.
When you shop online with Elizabeth Sarah Collections, we want you to feel like you're having a personal conversation with us, and we offer as much information as possible to hold up to our high customer service standards.
Some of you might’ve noticed these new changes, but we want to take the time to explain what’s been done with you, our favorite customer, in mind.
For the past several years, each product was labeled by a number system our team came up with. At first though, we brainstormed other ways to define each piece, thinking of ~cool~ names like “Indio Necklace.”
When we realized we simply weren't able to come up with as many names as we had products, we stuck with our 5 and 6 digit coded system.
We’ve made it clear through our daily social media posts that these numbers are the best way to search for the products, and we even label and photograph suggested coordinating necklaces to help you shop for layered sets.
However just the number may not be enough of a description to get that piece into your shopping cart and to it’s forever home.
To make things more helpful, and even coordinate Google search and our keywords (thanks to our marketing genie Allison!) we’ve added easy to understand titles to every product.
Each number is still visible, but is followed by a simple description - for example instead of just #359, you will now see #359-Shark Tooth Necklace.
The team behind Elizabeth Sarah Collections hopes this helps make things easier when you‘re shopping.
Being able to see a condensed description may help you narrow down your search and get you right to the product you are looking for.
Once you click on a specific piece of jewelry, the product page allows you to see multiple photos for sizing and styling, as well as a detailed description of each handmade and one of a kind or small batch piece.
For every necklace or earring, we label the metal, gemstone or other natural material, approximate size/length and even give layering advice and photos with coordinating pieces.
This new project is just one of the things that's currently keeping us busy. While we love being able to channel our creative sides, there's more to our growing business than just making jewelry at our production bench.
If you also follow us on our social media channels you will see that we’ve also added shoppable options to our Facebook and Instagram business pages. This means you won’t have to leave the app to shop our store, as every in stock item we have is available via these pages.
There's always something being worked on, and even though we primarily focus on the actual products we sell, we have to also prioritize the channels in which we market and sell through.
